Our Review of the Kelty Lynx 2650 ST
The full featured and affordable Lynx 2650 ST junior trail backpack from Kelty is an aluminum framed pack with 2650 cubic inches of storage space and an excellent harness suspension system. Constructed of 420 denier ripstop fabric and reinforced with even stronger materials, the durable Lynx 2650 ST is made to last through all sorts of abuse.
With a Kelty backpack for kids like the Lynx 2650 ST, a pre-teen child can carry his or her own load on camping trips and long hikes, just like mom and dad.
Storage Space
This Kelty backpack offers 2650 cubic inches of storage space in its lop loading panel, security pocket, and large front organizer pocket. There's also lash tabs, a daisy chain, water bottle pockets, and an ice axe loop for strapping or storing additional gear to the pack. A reservoir sleeve for hydration packs is included, and the lower portion of the pack is reinforced for greater durability.
Suspension System
The padded shoulder straps, sternum strap, and removable padded waistbelt of the Lynx 2650 ST are fully adjustable to give a child the right fit. The backpanel is also padded and constructed of breathable material that pulls moisture away.
Designed for comfort and endurance, the internal suspension system of the Lynx 2650 ST junior trail pack features a single aluminum stay and HDPE frame sheet, rather than a complete aluminum frame like Kelty's larger junior packs like the Yukon 3000.
